In cooperation with the Nebraska eLearning Pilot Project, the University of Nebraska-Kearney is offering graduate credit. The course name for the graduate credit is Internship in Instructional Technology. (Call number 10087). The course can be taken as a 1, 2, or 3 credit hour offering.

(One hour credit)

  • Attend a 2 hour training on Introduction to the Nebraska eLearning Project.
  • Submit the eLearning proposal on
    • how you will use eLearning software in support of your class
    • what objectives you will try to meet with the support of the eLearning software
  • Complete the online teacher pre-survey.
  • Develop an eLearning presence for at least one class.
  • Direct students in the class to complete the online student pre and post surveys.
  • Attend the four eLearning update meetings that are scheduled and presented by your cooperating ESU/school district.
  • Contribute to the 4 discussion board topics that provide support for the project evaluation.
  • Complete the post project teacher evaluation.

(Two hour credit - in addition to the above requirements)

  • Maintain a record book of blackboard interactions with students and time spend using the eLearning software. A record book is provided or can be downloaded.
  • A post project report will be presented
    • comparing how the original proposal for eLearning was implemented
    • identifying the pros and cons of using the eLearning software
    • your interpretation of how your students felt about having eLearning software incorporated into their class

(Three hour credit - in addition to the one and two hour credit requirements)

  • Participate in a district, regional, or state conference sharing about the project and the pros and cons learned from that participation.
