Technology Education Challenges in High Schools

Project Goal: To provide technical education and career opportunity awareness for students with skills in information technology.

Participating Schools: Elm Creek, Elwood, Pleasanton, Ravenna

Instructional Team: ESU 10 and 11 NIS teams

Class Schedule: Meet every Monday and Wednesday morning 7:30-8:20 over TVDEC distance education network. Approximately 60 lessons.

  • Hardware and software maintenance and repair
  • Distance education understanding and support
  • Ethics and employee responsibility
  • Network design and support
  • Career exploration
  • Staff inservice support

Other Presentation Information:

  • Portable distance education connection
  • Course supported by eLearning management program - Angel
  • Each lesson will be video taped and be available for viewing - downstreamed

Expanded Opportunities:

  • December 8 - TECHS Student Day. Students from area schools are invited to join the TECHS team for LAN Manager day. (Limit to 3 per school - Register on ODIE)
